Randy Moss to the 49ers. Good bye my love, good bye friend. You have been the one for me…

I’ll be honest…I wanted Randy back.  It was a tumultuous relationship, but to me the good times out weighed the bad.  I loved Randy, but he treated me poorly.  He was selfish, but that’s Randy.  The Patriots and I entered the relationship with our eyes open.  There is nothing Randy values more than loyalty.  He is a different cat.  He wanted that extension, but because of the roller-coaster nature of the relationship the Pats and I were nervous about committing to him forever.  When he didn’t get that lifetime commitment, Randy imploded and almost took the team with him.  The Pats had to sever ties.  Breaking up with Randy in 2010 was the right move.  Not having Randy cost the Patriots at least one Superbowl, but he forced the Pats’ hand.  Randy wanted to be shown loyalty, the Patriots wanted him to prove that he was worth their loyalty.  There ain’t no good guy.  There ain’t no bad guy.  There’s only you and me and we just disagree.  I guess it doesn’t matter how much you love someone, people don’t change.  Randy is who he is.  I wish we could have worked it out, but it just wasn’t meant to be I guess.
